Manisha Sherpa is the quintessential “good daughter” in Atlanta’s tight-knit Nepali community. At 27, she is the manager of Cafe Bombay, an Indian restaurant owned by family friends, where she balances chaotic lunch rushes with the mounting pressure from her parents, Pasang and Dolma, to marry a “Gold Level” suitor from back home.
