I feel very close to Florence. Like her, I have always been afraid of emotions. How can I trust something so powerful over which I have no control? What if it leads to my suffering? Through the making of this movie, I realized that my answer to these questions has too often been to deny those feelings that would lead to a deeper understanding of myself. It is hard to let go. To not to be afraid of the imperfect unknown. And so it is for Florence, who despite her fears, finds and inspires happiness through failure and suffering.
