Director Biography
Robert Guthrie wrote and produced the short films, “Right Now”, which played in U.S. and European film festivals, and “The Romeo Files”, which was featured on Our Spirit, the web-based nonprofit he founded to help LGBTQ youth ignore hate from the religious right. “The Romeo Files” has received more than 230,000 views on YouTube. “Easy” is Guthrie’s directorial debut.
Director Statement
We believe that sometimes life can be easier than we expect – even for gay high school students. Maybe not perfect. But still pretty great. That’s why we made EASY.
